This Privacy Policy explains what information fiesta collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using fiesta you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account info: your phone number and/or email, and a password (stored securely, never in plain text).
- Profile: username, display name, profile photo, bio, and birthday.
- Location: your approximate location, only if you grant permission, so we can show parties near you.
- Activity: parties you host or join, RSVPs, check-ins, tickets, group chat messages, and reports you file.
- Payments: ticket and payout information is processed by Stripe; we don't store your full card details.
2. How we use your information
- To run the Service — create your account, show nearby parties, and enable RSVPs, tickets, and chat
- To process payments and pay hosts
- To keep fiesta safe — verify accounts, review reports, and enforce our rules
- To communicate with you, including a one-time SMS code to verify your phone at signup
3. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that help us operate: Stripe (payments), Twilio (SMS verification), Supabase (hosting and storage), and RevenueCat (managing App Store subscriptions and purchases).
- Other users, but only the parts of your profile and activity that are meant to be public — e.g. your username, photo, and the parties you host or attend.
- Authorities if required by law or to protect people's safety.
4. Location
We only access your location when you allow it, and we use it to sort and show parties near you. You can turn location off at any time in your device settings; the app still works, just without nearby sorting.
5. Your choices and data deletion
You can edit your profile at any time. You can permanently delete your account and its associated personal data right in the app — tap your profile avatar and choose Delete account. Some records (e.g. transaction records) may be retained where required by law. For any other questions, reach us at fiestasupport@gmail.com.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure. Please use a strong password and keep it private.
8. Children
fiesta is not intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll take reasonable steps to notify you.
10. SMS text messaging
When you sign up or log in with your phone number, we send a one-time verification code by SMS through our messaging provider, Twilio.
- Message frequency: messages are sent only when you request a code (typically one message per sign-in). We do not send recurring or marketing texts.
- No sharing: your mobile phone number and SMS consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.
- Rates: message and data rates may apply.
- Help & opt-out: these are one-time verification messages — reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out. You can also stop using phone sign-in at any time.
